"Let's take a look at who these gold bugs are." 금 애호가가 누구인지 자세히 알아보자

• gold bugs = gold beetle : 황금광, 금 애호가 

금 가격 상승에 대한 믿음을 가진 투자자들이고, 대부분의 골드 버그들은 미국의 통화정책에 따라, 금값이 폭등할 것이라는 확신을 가지고 있는 사람들입니다. 짐 크레이머 CNBC 앵커 역시 자신도 금에 엄청나게 투자하고 있다며 'Call Me a Gold Bug!' (날 골드버그라고 불러줘) 라고 말할 정도였습니다.

이번 영상에서는 금 애호가들이 누구인지 구체적으로 분류했죠?  대부분 현재 주머니 사정이 어렵거나 어두운 경제전망을 가진 사람들이 많았습니다.

"If you think your home value is underwater,  in other words, your home value is worth less than your mortgage." 주택가치가 모기지 규모보다 적은 사람들이 금을 선호했다. 

• underwater : 깡통주택

• home value is underwater : 주택가치가 물 아래로 가라 앉았다,

대출을 받았던 금액이 현재 주택가격보다 더 많을 때 underwater를 사용합니다. 그만큼 대출 상환 부담이 엄청나게 크다는 것입니다. 결론적으로, 집을 팔아도 대출 원금을 갚지 못하는 상황입니다. 우리나라 표현으로 underwater는 깡통주택을 의미합니다.

Gold is still a pretty good winner statistically. Let's move on and take a look at who these gold bugs are. Remember, the 35% here is of all adults. So we put that over here. Okay, if you think your home value is underwater.

In other words, your home value is worth less than your mortgage if you have a high school education or less and less than $50,000 investment in the market, and the white working class, they're all around 40%.

But now let's take a look at these next two groups here. Tea party supporters, 45%. If your home value is going down 50% so clearly, an issue here, if it is risk off the table and not optimistic about the economy.

And these tend to be or at least in greater percentages are your gold bugs compared to all adults in the economy.
